The temps so far this winter have been somewhat brutal here in northern Michigan so this past Monday when we saw it was going to get up to forty degrees we knew we had to get out on the water. It was a really eventful float with bobcat and otter sightings, a short lightening storm, and a few very nice trout eager to eat our streamers. Oh, and even a bit of sunshine. Now as I sit here writing this and reminiscing, it's back to winter, heavy wet snow and stoking the wood stove. Still the great time we had on the water Monday has me really excited about whats to come in just a few short weeks. Looking forward to another trout season on the Au Sable!
